SHEPARD FAIREY "LOVE UNITES" AUCTION
Bid on a piece of celebrity-customized civil rights history! FAIR, a grassroots organization operating under a 501c3 fiscal sponsorship, presents its first campaign to raise funds and awareness for marriage equality and LGBT rights. Shepard Fairey, celebrated street artist and creator of the now ubiquitous Obama HOPE image, designed a piece specifically for marriage equality called ‘DEFEND EQUALITY LOVE UNITES’ which has become a unifying symbol of the post-Proposition 8 struggle for marriage equality. FAIR has reached out to celebrities and notable supporters of marriage equality to personalize a series of poster size prints, provided directly from Shepard Fairey from his personal press during the first print run. These unique prints, each combining Shepard's orginal image with the artistic touch of a an actor, filmmaker, artist, or politician, will be unveiled around the first anniversary of the passage of Proposition 8 in California, and are exclusively available for auction on Charitybuzz.com. All proceeds from the sale of these prints will go towards efforts to achieve marriage and LGBT equality in California and beyond. Click Here to start bidding today!
